Eggplant Weather

I mean the color, not the vegetable.

It's suddenly fall. The really excellent part of fall: the moments just before all the leaves really start to cover the ground. We're past the too-hot-today comments of September yet the sun is still warm on our faces. We're wearing lightweight jackets and reconsidering our palettes and palates. Is it time for pumpkin everything yet? In my opinion: YES!!!!

Here's what I am currently coveting:
1). These wavy candlestick holders by one of my favorite brands for home decor and jewelry, Georg Jensen. Light reflecting and bouncing off of these gorgeous shapes is the magic my dinner table needs.
2). So, thanks to a really amazing client and person with an extra ticket, I got to go see Taylor Swift at Wembley this summer. I still can't talk about it because I sound like an absolute lunatic fan –– don't sing the song Marjorie in my presence if you don't want me to ugly cry in front of your very eyes. Besides the incredible music and show itself, the crowd's outfits (crowdfits?) were eclectic, exuberant, and often included shiny cowboy boots. I don't think I'm a cowboy boot person but this pair is convincing me otherwise. Cowboy witch stargazer, it's me.
3). When I saw this installation of FV's Whisper wallpaper in the colorway Vendetta I nearly screamed. I love how designer Tyler Murphy used it in this bathroom.
4). Sorry to toot FV's horn again, but I really do love this colorway of our floral pattern, Bea. I named it Regent's Park because it reminds me of walking around that park at dusk, when the flowers bow their heads and turn magical shades of darkest blues and purples. I'd love to see a cluster of pillows with a contrasting welt on a midnight blue or deep eggplant linen duvet cover.
5). I have a pair of leopard block heels from a few years ago that I pulled out for my recent panel discussion at the Bruce Museum. When I put them on, I wondered why the heck I don't own more leopard print. I think this dress by Cara Cara is perfect, both for the cut and the pattern.
6). I need a teapot. This is the perfect teapot. There will be no questions at this time.
7). I love this table by Grain because of the material combination, shape, and usefulness. I think my cats would also enjoy it.
8). The gathering season is upon us (although it never stops for our household, we do our best to have people over as much as possible). I really need a new set of silverware and there's nothing more classic than this set.
