Pattern 101

Pattern is a unique creative tool that can add structure, energy, dimension, depth and even chaos to objects, spaces, and art. In this class the pattern pros at Flat Vernacular will teach you how to utilize this powerful tool in your art, design, and even your personal style. This class will focus on several techniques for pattern creation, mark making, pattern theory, digitizing, and using your patterns in your work. This class is 1 day per week over the course of 3 weeks. Most materials are included. You will leave with one finished pattern and a recommended list of exercises and readings to continue your pattern work. Limited to 6 people per session.
