Darker nights, brighter mornings

October Inspiration

If I'm not staring outside the window at gorgeous October light, chances are I'm writing down ideas for weekend day trips while planning out some small indoor family gatherings. Here's what's inspiring us this month!

1). This particular Jeep feels like crisp autumn days filled with adventures on the East Coast. Toss on some boots, put on a warm fisherman's sweater, grab your sunglasses, throw a blanket and a picnic in the back, and you're on your way. Don't forget to take photographs of the golden October light.

2). I found a vintage Givenchy cape a few years ago (for $60!!) so my eyes are always peeled for my next great cape find. While this one isn't such a steal, it's beautiful and worth a look. Perfect for October days, especially if you're a witch or attending an opera.

3). This lovely colorway of FV pattern "Sonia" is a brownish-red hue and looks particularly stunning in candlelight and low lighting. A nice warm touch for dining rooms, hallways, and living rooms.

4). Prepare for the spooky season with a beautiful tablecloth from Heather Taylor Home.

5). The perfect read for the time of year when some say it's easier to connect with worlds unseen.

6). I'm partial to Art Deco style liquor cabinets. We have two in our house: a wide one in the living room, and a tall thinner one in our dining room. They're incredibly useful as well as beautiful pieces of history.

7). Send one of these pretty sage bouquets from Popup Florist to a friend who moved into a new home, or send one to someone you miss. Who doesn't love to receive a floral surprise in the mail?
