Friday Night is Pizza Night

For those of you who grew up on the East Coast, did you also have pizza night on Friday evenings? I loved Friday night pizza as a kid. Picking up a deliciously warm and fragrant cardboard box from the local pizza joint and heading over to a friend's house or meeting friends at our house is a sincerely happy (and visceral!) memory in my life. These good memories of Friday Night Pizza had been buried somewhere in the depths of my brain until Brian and I had our son four years ago.

Brian and I have always been passionate about creating a warm, inviting home. Now that we're based in Connecticut (the self-proclaimed pizza capital of the Northeast!), we love spending Friday evenings trying out different pizza places or recipes and ranking them based on flavor. Our entire family looks forward to the ritual of Friday Night Pizza, whether it's just our crew of three or with friends and extended family.

I realized recently that Friday Night Pizza represents something much bigger than a delicious, perfect slice. It's about creating moments of connection, whether it's with our friends and family, our valued customers, or our wonderful community here in Connecticut. Continuing to infuse our business with that same sense of comfort, connection, consideration, and warmth that defines our personal lives is so important to us.

At FV, we believe that good taste extends beyond the dining table. It's in the way we design our home, run our business, and engage with the world around us.  Rediscovering cherished traditions and weaving them into new, beautiful experiences is the true art of living well. That's the kind of life I want to live, forever.

Not our recommended ingredient combination for Friday Night Pizza.
